Free Dosha Quiz — Find Your Ayurvedic Body Type
A short, real conversation with Vaidya, your AI Ayurvedic companion — reads your body type, sees what's out of balance right now, and returns a personalised protocol.
What is a body type quiz? In Ayurveda, your body type (dosha) — Vata, Pitta or Kapha — shapes what food, sleep and routine suit you. This free 3-minute quiz is a short chat with Vaidya that returns your type, what's out of balance, and three things to try today. No signup.
Why this isn't your average dosha quiz.
Every other dosha quiz — Banyan, LifeSpa, Kripalu, Sahara Rose — is a static form that ends at the result. Most ask for your email first, then hand you a label or a percentage and point you to a PDF, a newsletter or a shop. That works for a paper test. It's not how an Ayurvedic practitioner reads a body.
Vaidya asks a focused, practitioner-designed set of questions, separates your inborn constitution (prakriti) from what's out of balance right now (vikriti), screens for safety before suggesting anything, returns a precise tridoshic ratio, and — instead of stopping at the result — turns it into a daily plan.

What shows up in your body.
Sleep, digestion, temperature, energy curve. The physical signals that map directly to dosha tendencies.
What you brought us today.
The specific concern — sleep, stress, digestion, energy. Vaidya threads this through every later question.
Your tridoshic profile.
A written reading, your ratio across all three doshas, and the first three things to try this week.
What lands at the end.
Not a single label. A ratio, a written profile, and the first three things Vaidya will suggest.
Vata-Pitta
You're quick, creative, often two steps ahead of the room. Stress lands as sleeplessness or skin flare-ups first. Cold and dry climates dehydrate you; late nights cost you more than they used to.
- 01Warm grains at breakfast
Cooked oats over raw granola — Vata stabilises on warmth and oil.
- 02Yoga Nidra at 10pm
22-minute session, lights down — the fastest sleep-onset signal for your type.
- 03Abhyanga twice a week
Warm sesame oil self-massage. Counters dryness, calms the nervous system.
What is a dosha?
A dosha is one of three energetic patterns that, according to Ayurveda, make up every person in different ratios. They aren't personality types in the Myers-Briggs sense — they're constitutional patterns that show up in your body, your sleep, your digestion, your stress response, and your mind together.
You're not one. You're a mix. Most people are 60/30/10 across two doshas. Vata-Pitta and Pitta-Kapha are the most common combinations. The InnerVeda quiz returns the exact ratio — because Vata-Pitta and Pitta-Vata behave very differently and deserve different protocols.
Explore the common combinations — Vata-Pitta, Pitta-Kapha, Vata-Kapha, tridoshic, what a dual-dosha type means. Or read the single types: Vata, Pitta, Kapha.

How accurate is the InnerVeda dosha quiz?
Three things make this quiz more accurate than the multiple-choice alternatives.
Most people are not a single dosha. The typical result is a blend with two dominant doshas — closer to a 60/30/10 split than to one pure type.
The same answers always return the same body type. InnerVeda scores every answer the same way every time, so there is no random drift between attempts.
A dosha quiz reads your constitution, not a diagnosis. It separates your inborn constitution (prakriti) from what's out of balance right now (vikriti), and is a starting hypothesis a practitioner refines over time.
Every answer is scored the same way, every time — so the same answers always produce the same body type, with no random drift between attempts. A focused, practitioner-designed question set covers build, digestion, sleep, energy and temperament, rather than a generic checklist.
Your result is a ratio (62% Vata / 28% Pitta / 10% Kapha), not a tag. Most people are mixes — a single label loses the information that Vata-Pitta and Pitta-Vata need different protocols.
Ayurveda distinguishes prakriti (your inborn constitution) from vikriti (your current state). Vaidya asks about both. Most static quizzes conflate them, which is why people score “Pitta” in summer and “Vata” in winter on the same quiz.
Because every answer is scored the same way, the same answers always produce the same body type — no drift between one attempt and the next. And because the read separates your constitution from what's out of balance right now, it stays meaningful as your season, stress and sleep change.
A 3-minute assessment is not a substitute for an Ayurvedic practitioner consultation, an autoimmune workup, or a sleep study. The quiz is a starting hypothesis Vaidya refines over weeks from your actual data.
The studies below are real and independently verifiable. The Ayurvedic interpretations are InnerVeda's own — the authors did not study Ayurveda, and the guidance is independently reviewed by Dr. Sheetal Rajput, BAMS, our Ayurvedic Medical Officer.

A dosha is one of three energies that, according to Ayurveda, make up every person in different ratios. Vata (air + ether) governs movement — quick, creative, dry. Pitta (fire + water) governs transformation — sharp, focused, warm. Kapha (earth + water) governs structure — steady, calm, deep. Most people are a mix of two in a roughly 60/30/10 ratio across all three.
You have a 3-minute conversation with Vaidya, your AI Ayurvedic companion. Vaidya asks a focused set of about 12–15 questions — covering your build, digestion, sleep, energy and temperament, plus what's troubling you right now — then returns a tridoshic ratio (not a single label) with a written reading and three personalised suggestions.
Most dosha quizzes hand you a result and stop there. InnerVeda produces a tridoshic ratio, separates your inborn constitution from what's out of balance right now, screens for safety, and scores every answer the same way every time, so the same answers always give the same result — then turns it into a daily plan. It's a starting hypothesis Vaidya refines over weeks from your actual data, not a clinical diagnosis.

Yes, anytime. It's worth retaking after a major life shift — pregnancy, illness, a change of climate, a big stress event. Vaidya keeps both results and explains what shifted between them.
Your inborn constitution (prakriti) doesn't change. Your current state (vikriti) absolutely does — based on season, stress, age, diet, sleep, and life events. The InnerVeda quiz produces both: your underlying ratio plus what's currently aggravated.
Banyan, LifeSpa, Sahara Rose and Kripalu are static forms that end at the result — most ask for your email first, then hand you a label or a percentage and point you to a PDF, a newsletter or a shop. InnerVeda is a conversation with Vaidya that screens for safety, separates your constitution from your current imbalance, and — instead of stopping at the result — turns it into a written reading, three next steps and a daily plan, with no signup until you save it. It's the difference between a paper test and a 3-minute consultation.
About 12–15 — a focused set covering your constitution (build, digestion, sleep, energy, temperament) plus a couple about what's troubling you right now. It takes about 3 minutes. It's deliberately tighter than the 20 – 50 questions generic quizzes ask, without losing the signal that matters.
Dosha frameworks predate modern science by ~3,000 years. They're empirically derived constitutional patterns, not lab-validated diagnoses. That said, modern chronobiology, gut-microbiome, and adaptogen research are independently rediscovering many of the same individual-variation principles. Because InnerVeda scores your answers the same way every time, identical answers always produce an identical result.
Take the quiz; tell Vaidya in the first chat. The protocol adapts away from contraindicated practices (specific breath, heating spices, fasting). For diagnosis or medication, always see a qualified clinical professional — InnerVeda is a lifestyle companion.
Yes — after your result you can share a link to WhatsApp, X or anywhere you like. It unfurls a card with your tridoshic ratio (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and one signature line, so friends can see your body type and find theirs.
Only if you ask us to. The quiz is no-signup until results. If you choose to save your result, you can opt in to a 7-day mini-course written specifically for your body type. No drip campaign, no “we noticed you left” nudges.
